Can the Logicdrop Studio server be deployed on-premise?

Yes, Logicdrop Studio supports both on-premise and hybrid approaches to deployment. With our secure deployment containers, the Logicdrop Studio components can be deployed and configured on virtually any environment supporting Linux or virtualization. Our consultants can advise you on the best solution to balance your needs for security and performance, and even help with remote deployment.

What platforms and operating systems are supported?

The Logicdrop Studio Designer (used for designing rules and templates) supports Windows 7 and greater. The Logicdrop Studio Dashboard and other web tools will run on any modern web browser and device, including Firefox, IE9 and greater, Google Chrome, Safari, iOS and Android devices.

Is a Microsoft Office license required?

Unlike some other document automation software suites, there is no requirement for a Microsoft Office license on either the client or server. Template designers may use the Logicdrop Studio designer to author a template in full using familiar tools or import documents from the word processor of their choice using a variety of supported file formats including DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF and more.

Can I use my own database as a datasource for publishing templates?

Yes, Logicdrop Studio is designed to work with any structured datasource. We support SQL Server databases, XML and even Excel files and Google Sheets. 3rd party integrations are available for popular software platforms like Salesforce and SharePoint, and we are adding new integrations all the time.

Can I use my own restful service as a datasource for publishing templates?

Yes, by utilizing the powerful API exposed by Logicdrop Studio any request to publish a document can be supplied with data from your own internal web services.

Will Logicdrop Studio integrate with my existing software infrastructure?

Logicdrop Studio was designed to be really, really good at executing processes and generating documents. Instead of taking the approach of replacing all of your infrastructure with another new do-everything "platform" we firmly believe in picking the best tool for the job at every point in your process. With that in mind, Logicdrop designed from the ground up with an API which allows it to incorporate seamlessly within your existing workflow and communicate fluently with all your favorite applications.

What are the system requirements?

For hosted solutions, all of the heaving lifting is done by our cloud platform and the system requirements for client computers is very modest. We recommend a desktop PC with 4GB of memory and an Intel i5 or greater CPU. For mobile devices, we recommend devices capable of running iOS 8 or later.
